In what's becoming a Mother's Day tradition, we planted flowers for Mommy in the large pots we have. Once all that stuff was in there, however, those pots were super heavy.
When Mommy was ready, we gave her the first of many gifts . . .
. . . handmade coasters.
We relished in the gift-giving for only a short period before we had to work on breakfast. We made flower-shaped shortcakes covered in different colors sprinkles.
While the shortcakes were cooking, it was back outside to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be, the flowers, pots and letters we wrote Mommy.
We invited her outside and gave her the rest of her gifts. We had a good laugh at some of the things we wrote in our letters to her, and she loved her floral arrangements.
The shortcakes were ready shortly after that. We assembled the strawberry shortcake flower tower and delivered it to the most fantastic Mommy in the world.
