To the top

We didn't really appreciate how tall the Gateway Arch is until we stood directly underneath it. WOW, it's tall, and a little scary to think about going all the way up to the top.

Luckily, on the way to the Arch from our hotel is a cool little park with a fast "slide" next to the steps.

We can see the Arch from the top of the slide. We, and Kinsey too, spent LOTS of time sliding down the fast "slide" at Fast Slide Park, as we named it, under the shadow of the Arch.

Eventually it was out turn to head to the top of the Arch. We made our way there . . .

. . . and into the tiny egg-shaped pod that took us all the way to the top.

The ride was AWESOME! More on the ride later...

The view was pretty cool too.

We could see for miles, almost all the way back to Minnesota.

The Gateway Arch is a pretty awesome place.
