Flying in airplanes is one of our (especially Jax) favorite things. It's so awesome to soar high above ground. Everything seems so peaceful, so simple.
Airports, on the other hand, are another thing entirely. Nevertheless, we made it home, safe and sound. We had such an awesome time in Myrtle Beach. We're already talking about how many time we're gonna "ride the waves" next time we visit.
One of the most awesome things we learned while at the beach was how to bodyboard. We use the term "learn" VERY loosely because Daddy isn't exactly the best at it. That didn't really matter, though. We had a great time trying to "catch some waves", and some times we actually succeeded and "rode the waves".
Daddy would walk us out there . . .
. . . and together we'd try to "catch a wave" and "ride the wave" back to shore. The ocean "caught" us a lot more, but that was OK. we had a great time spitting the salt water out of our mouths and noses.
No matter how much water we inhaled, we kept wanting to go "ride some waves" again.
Supposedly Irene had already passed us by when we woke up. We decided to head out looking for pine cones, yes, in our pajamas, that had fallen in the storm overnight. There was still a bit of Irene left, it was crazy windy at times.
We made sure to bring our pickers with us as we headed out on our big hunt.
There were pine cones everywhere. The big ones where really hard to pick up with our pickers.
