Candy is calling

It's amazing how different things look at night. That's even more true on Halloween. There were so many cool things as we went from house to house, and that doesn't include what we got at each house.

First things first, be sure to ring the doorbell, and ring it often, so the people inside know you're there.

Most houses gave us some candy. Our friend Carol from down the street continues to amaze and bless us with so much awesome stuff. See that bag? It's full of awesomeness and we each got one.

After saying thank you, and be sure to say thank you, we moved on to the next house kicking up the leaves as we went. It's a good thing Halloween is in the fall, otherwise there would be no leaves.

As we continued, our friend Will caught up with us for some of the sightseeing, and candy. This wasn't the only ghost we saw, but it was the only one that moved and made spooky noises.

We rang more doorbells . . .

. . . and did more walking and/or running through the leaves.

It was kind of tiring so Jax took a little break at one point . . .

. . . but the call of the doorbell and the candy was too strong to stay on a break for long.

Sweet, sweet success

As soon as we got home, we dumped all our loot onto the floor and started going through it. We made a pretty good haul. Because it was so cold outside and so warm inside, Daddy's camera fogged up and made this photo a little on the eerie side. That's OK, it's Halloween.

We were nice enough to share with Aunt Jen-Jen, and she was nice enough to share with us.

Our neighbor Carol was again too nice to us. She gave us a huge bag full of stuff, including some real Lightning McQueen cars. Once we found those, we forgot all about all that candy.

Untill someone came to the door, then we remembered. We LOVED handing out candy to anyone who rang our doorbell. If they were lucky enough to ring it on Jax's turn, they got a HUGE handful.

We usually brush our teeth before bed, but for some reason Mommy seemed to be extra careful tonight.

Before we go . . .

. . . we stopped on our front steps for the obligatory photo. It was hard to sit there knowing what was waiting for us at all our friends houses in the neighborhood.

Tricks or just treats

It's pretty amazing what we'll do to get a little candy.

how - ZOO - een

Daddy and Aunt Jen-Jen took us to the big zoo today for the How-zoo-een Halloween event there. We got to wear our costumes and so did the zoo workers. It was pretty crazy seeing a skeleton swimming around in a giant fish tank with all the tropical fishies.

The dolphins were super-active too, but there weren't wearing their costumes.

We watched the coyotes with Aunt Jen-Jen . . .

. . . and had a pretty great time running around the zoo as Pooh and Eeyore.

Happy Halloween

Great pumpkin

We went in search of the perfect pumpkin today. There were so many to choose from . . .

. . . and man were they all heavy.

Once we found just the right one and dragged it home, we helped Daddy draw a face on it. One round eye, one googly eye, a square nose and a BIG smile with five square teeth.

Then came the goop, lots and lots of goop.

EEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

But we made sure we got every last string and seed.

So much new stuff

We received so many wonderful gifts from our friends and family for our birthday. Lots of games and our first real puzzle. We love putting it together, with some help of course.

We also have new craft boxes with all kinds of paper, markers, stickers . . .

. . . and our first journal. It's our very own book that we can do whatever we want it. Stickers, markers, pencils, whatever. On the first day we worked on them we did about 20 pages.

Costume party

These are our friends a preschool all dressed up for Halloween. We had lots of fun, and got lots of candy during the costume party we had at preschool on Thursday.

Eeyore weather

Eeyore always predicts rain, and today, he was right. We had a costume party today at preschool and it's been raining every since we woke up.

But the day got A LOT brighter when it was time to go home. Daddy and Aunt Jen-Jen came to pick us up from preschool. We were pretty excited to show her our awesome Pooh and Eeyore costumes.

See, even though it was still raining, the day was indeed brighter.

We went to our favorite pizza place for lunch . . .

. . . and even played a little chase in the rain afterward. Pooh moves pretty good for a silly old bear.

Birthday donut?

You better believe it. With a candle and everything.

Oh, and sprinkles too.

A train? On a table?

Aunt Jen-Jen went a little crazy for our birthday. Then Mommy & Daddy went a little crazy trying to get it all set up. Now we're going crazy playing with it.

LOVE the presents

As you can tell, we get very, very excited when we get to open presents. Charley might still be jumping.

Three

Unbelievable. We turned three. All our friends came to see us and eat cake with us. It was awesome.

She got us

When it was time for Grandma and Kinsey to leave, we tried to get them to stay longer by running around the house and not letting them give us hugs and kisses goodbye. Well, they're too fast, they caught us and gave us hugs and kisses anyway. It was so great to see them, we can't wait until next time.

Silly old bear

Pooh sent us a birthday present the other day . . .

. . . himself.

Big gifts; big boys

It should be, "Big boys deserve big gifts." After our party was over, we got to open our gifts from Grandma Meehan and Grandma C. The suspense was almost too much to bear.

Charley went first and he got a Thomas the Tank Engine tent.

It just might have made this day the greatest day of his young life.

Jax went next. Again with the suspense.

Guess what, it was another tent, but this one was Lightning McQueen's tent. Awesome. We pretty much sat in our new tents with each other for the rest of the night.

Where can you find Pooh, Eeyore and ghosts?

At our birthday party, of course. Our friends Audrey and Keighly brought these awesome balloons for us. We're pretty sure they're the first balloons we've ever had.

LOTS of people came to celebrate with us, and this picture doesn't even show 14 (we think our math is right) other people who were there. Daddy just couldn't get them all into one picture.

Was there cake? What kind of question is that? Of course there was cake; silly ghost cake.

You better believe we, and all our friends, had some.
