At the library... there was a baby and her mom in the reading nook. Baby was MAYBE 6 months old, and mom had her propped in the corner, reading to her.

Jax kept going over to her again and again.

Finally, he gets a book and walks up to them, "Could I read this book to the baby? Could I read it to her?"

The mom was great and let him. The mom essentially pointed things out in the book to Jax.

He did it again about 5 minutes later.

Made my heart smile.

So they're still only 2, promise.

On the walk home from the park today, Jax says (out of the blue), "Medicine Clouds bring rain."

Me: What? Medicine clouds? What?!
J: No, Mommy, MEN-a-sin clouds bring rain.
Me: OH! Menacing clouds... of course they do!
J: Yes, Menacin clouds bring rain... it's going to rain.
Me: They do, but those are puffy clouds, so it's not going to rain.......

This past weekend we were talking about the menacing clouds Sunday while snacking on the deck. Yeah, I'd totally forgotten, til Jax remembered.
Crazy kid!
