Even though you tickled us . . .
. . . and tickled us . . .
. . . we had so much fun playing with you.
Thanks for coming to see us on our birthday.
Thanks Grandma
The box
mmmmmmm CAKE!!
So much happened the last couple of days. There are A LOT of blog posts from our birthday. So, just keep reading, just keep reading, reading, reading, reading!!
This pretty much speaks for itself. We can't wait until next year.
Here comes cake!!
Soft, squishy, and oh so sweet.
Ahhhhhh, can't eat it fast enough!
Forget the hands to the mouth, let's just dive in.
A costume party

We had a costume party for our birthday and invited our friends. Charley went as a lion and Jax as a cow. You can see the whip that was part of mommy's lion tamer costume. Daddy went as a farmer and looked a touch Amish.
Because lots of people came to see us, Mommy and Daddy let us into the kitchen. We had all kinds of fun in there.
Our friends Shivani and Shashank came with their parents Heera and Naveen.
Our friend Hillery came too with her kids Jenna and Hayden . . .
Here's Daddy with Hayden, dressed as a little chick, how funny is that!!
and eat it too?

Aren't these the coolest cakes? Our mommy made them for us. We did get to eat them eventually, you'll see those photos and videos later.

Not enough time

We got to open all these presents, after that, we got to play with everything. We didn't know what to do with our selves.
We climbed all over our new bus . . .
. . . and read all our new books. There wasn't enough time in the day.
Take that wagon for a spin

It was a beautiful day on our birthday. Mommy and Grandma Meehan (she came in from Texas for our birthday) took us for a ride in our new wagon, smoooooooooth.
More presents

We had so many presents to open we had to work on it all day, but that was ok with us.
Check out these cool riding things. We can push them, ride on them and they make all kinds of great noises to annoy mommy and daddy. THANKS Aunt Jenny!!!
In the end, though, we just wanted the same one. But it didn't matter which one, we both had to have the same one.

Our new ride
Check out our new ride, a birthday gift from Grandpa Stro and Grandma Cathy. A very cool dual seat wagon that we can both sit in. We'll have to take it for a spin really soon.
So many presents
The wheels on the bus
Presents RULE!

What's in here anyway? It's gotta be something cool and if nothing else, at least I have a new box to play with.
Presents? What presents? I have this new plastic magnet to chew on.

Burgeoning articulation
I'm adding to my vocabulary. You've heard cracker, I know doggy, what a doggy says, diaper, blanky and I'm working on bib, bye-bye, mama and dada. They may not sound anything like the real word but we know what they mean.

Pitter, patter
I'm getting better at it all the time. Walking across rooms, around corners, I'm just about ready to give up crawling, maybe.
I'm learning. I just get so excited I can hardly contain myself. Maybe I'll just go straight to running, forget walking.
An apple a day

We took advantage of the break in the rain on Saturday and went to the apple orchard with our friends. We weren't able to pick apples, which seemed strange to even mommy and daddy, so we hung out on this bench instead.
We had a little snack picnic . . .
. . . worked on our walking . . .
. . . and tried in vain to escape.
Tough day for Tigers

We went to our neighborhood hangout to watch MIZZOU play Oklahoma. We got all dressed up for the occasion, hoping the tiger costumes would spur on our tigers.
Even though we started OK and had a very strong third quarter, it wasn't enough to hold off the Sooners. Booooo, Oklahoma.
An afternoon with friends

We spent some time this afternoon with our friends. Here is a rare moment when all four of us were close enough to get a photo.
Shivani showed Jax the proper, and improper, way to sit on a little chair. We'll have to get some small chairs of our own.

The two step, maybe more
The waves roll in, the waves roll out
Finally, the beach
Charley at the beach

Despite how these pictures look, I really did like the beach and the water.
Daddy and I splashed in it . . .
. . . I was a little unsure at first . . .
. . . but I got used to it after awhile.

Jax at the beach

WOW, the beach! Check me out!!
The sea breeze on my face . . .
. . . walking along the shore with grandma and grandpa . . .
. . . crawling through the sand . . .
. . . I'm not too sure about this water . . .
. . . so that's enough, I'll come back later.
Around and around we go

We rode the carousel. We had a great time before it started moving.
Correction, Charley was never really sure about it, even before it moved.
Jackson LOVED sitting on the horse, as long as it wasn't moving.
Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Stro took us. We'd probably go again if they wanted to take us.
